International Year of the Woman Farmer.
So very proud to have our Shat Acres farm and myself featured by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture in their recognition of the International Year of the Woman Farmer. Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and growing up on Long Island, NY, I would never have imagined myself as a Highland cattle farmer. And now, in my second career after being an educator for thirty years, I cannot imagine myself doing anything else.
All you amazing Woman Farmers out there...check to see what your State is doing to recognize the International Year of the Woman Farmer! And kudos to all the other amazing Woman Farmers in Vermont!
